What We Do

NeighborWorks® Salt Lake, a private non-profit 501(c)(3), opened its doors in 1977 with the mission of revitalizing neighborhoods and creating affordable housing by providing dynamic and creative leadership through partnerships with residents, youth, businesses, and government entities.

The NeighborWorks® Salt Lake vision statement of “Rebuilding Neighborhoods…One Block at a Time” has been visibly and successfully demonstrated in its target neighborhoods, including a large geographic area on Salt Lake City’s west side running from 1000 North to 1700 South, and from 300 West to Redwood Road. These boundaries include all or a portion of the Fairpark, Guadalupe, Rose Park, Glendale, Poplar Grove, and West Capital Hill neighborhoods.

In addition to our Salt Lake City Area, Murray City has taken an important step in addressing housing needs identified in the Housing Market Analysis adopted by the City Council in the spring of 2009 by partnering with NeighborWorks® Salt Lake. NeighborWorks® Salt Lake has established a Murray office to work in collaboration with the City and Redevelopment Agency of Murray to provide additional housing services to the residents of Murray and to facilitate neighborhood revitalization in its Murray target neighborhoods.

NeighborWorks® Salt Lake has a proven track record of visible positive results in its target neighborhoods. We hope you will consider NeighborWorks® Salt Lake as a housing and neighborhood resource, and contact us with questions or additional information on our programs.
